Jesus Had To Grow, Why Wouldn’t We?

It feels incredible to learn that God accepts you.
Do you feel that God accepts you?
You should, because He does.
Receive that.
And He made you in the first place.
He thought you up, planned you out, and crafted you in your mother’s womb.
He sent His Son to die for you, to forgive you, and take away all your shame.
He sent His Holy Spirit to regenerate you, to fill you.
And to make you a brand new version of the “you” He already loved.
So, why change?
Because you’ve been equipped with a mind and body that can grow. (Why we need a  growth mindset)
God built into the human experience that we will have to grow our whole lives.
Jesus had to grow. He was not able to walk and talk, build things with Joseph, pray, or raise the dead as He lay in the manger.
Someone had to teach Him. Jesus had to take His first steps and fall while His mother encouraged Him to try again.
And yet, He was completely perfect from the moment He was conceived by the Spirit. (Actually, for eternity past).
But He grew.
I pray you and I can see ourselves as having been perfected with still some exciting growing to do.
Accept God’s acceptance of you if you have received His Son and get about growing. It might be the fun part of living.
