When One Part Of The Body Suffers

I have recently broken the fibula in my ankle. 
At this stage, I am supposed to be elevating and icing it to keep down the swelling.
 
When I’m icing the back of the knee, eventually, I feel it in my foot.  
This got me thinking about one of my favorite subjects: Systems.
Everything is a system. Everything is interconnected. To think biblically, consider the body of Christ. 
“If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it” (1 Corinthians 12:26).
If one part is broken, every part suffers with it. 
If one part gets ice, or at least certain parts, the most connected parts get ice. 
Just as the body functions as a unified system, so do relationships, communities, and even our spiritual lives. 
Think of your own Christian community. Where do they suffer? Where do they rejoice? Because we are all suffering and rejoicing when it’s working right. 
You might look at my body and say, “It’s 99% healthy, so what’s the big deal?”
But that unhealthy 1% is affecting everything. It’s terribly disruptive to all the other parts. 
(Incidentally, if you want to pray for me, pray I’d figure out how to sleep with this cast; I’m going to lose my mind if I don’t.)
Therefore, I’ve stopped almost everything else to heal this ankle, so we (the rest of my body parts) can get on with life.
We are all part of a spiritual body and there is always some part that is suffering, both in our local expressions of the body of Christ, and globally. 
What body part needs attention in your local expression? Maybe it’s you, and I’m praying that you will get what you need, and also you can be the source of joy and help for some other part when called on. 
Also, where around the globe is the body of Christ in duress? Because we are all in duress. Come Lord Jesus.
